Finding Ardara Lodge is very easy. Driving north from Kaikoura on State
Highway 1 (towards Picton), turn left into Schoolhouse Rd and drive 1.5km
to Ardara Lodge.
Kaikoura is located 2.5 hours from Christchurch, via State Highway 1, or
by taking the inland scenic route through State Highway 70.
Hanmer Springs (and its famous Hot Pools) is only two hours from Kaikoura.
20 minutes north of Blenheim is Picton, the gateway to the South Island,
the Interislander ferry terminal and the entrance to the Marlborough
Sounds
1.5 hours north of Kaikoura is Blenheim, in the province of Marlborough,
where some of the best wines in the world are produced. Montana Wineries,
on the main highway on the southern outskirts of Blenheim, offers daily
tours and wine sales.
